Converted by Token. Black border on title screen and colour brightness fixed by Cyrille Ayor61

CONTROLS :
D-pad = Move the droid
J1B1 = Pause game (Phase 1), quick press to select one of the 3 action modes or long press to activate scan mode (Phase 2)

Use joypad to start game or enter the password screen. Move on letters and press fire to enter a password, then validate it by selecting "END".

GAMEPLAY :
The aim of the game is to use a doglike droid to collect ramboids, the male form of alien sheep. The player must move these Ramboids into teleporters to win the game. the are no lives or damage in the game, just a timer that counts down to 0. Each of 20 stages has two phases.

Phase 1 :
you have to ascend through a sea of "ramboids" (alien sheep) to get to the chute to Phase 2. The ramboids zoom around in lanes, heedless of you, and if they push you to the edge of the map you get pushed all the way back down to the bottom. Be quick, don't waste too much time in your ascend!

Phase 2
Here, you're in a huge maze-like playfield. There are various ramboids wandering the cavern. Somewhere in the level is a teleporter to which you must lead 7 ramboids. This wouldn't be so bad, except you have to get them in in the correct order given in the left column. Ramboids sent in out of order don't count. You have to get at least four in the correct order to move to the next level otherwise you will just be sent back to Phase 1. Right column show the ramboids you already driven to the teleporter. You will get bonus time for each ramboid reaching the teleporter in the right order. By placing your droid in the right place in the corridors, you influence the direction of the ramboids to reach the teleporter. Ramboids do not collide with each other off-screen, only with walls.

Your droid has four modes, represented with icons at the bottom of the screen.
     - FLIGHT MODE : Lets you move around how you want vertically; you spend most of your time int this mode, since it's the only one that lets you move vertically.
     - DUCK MODE : Lets you duck into the ground, important in places to get out of a ramboid's way.
     - TUNNELING MODE : Lets you make horizontal tunnel in the maze. This is very important, and on some levels where the ramboids are in chambers unconnected to the teleporter is essential to progress.
     - SCAN MODE : Centers the screen for a few seconds on each of the ramboid location, to help you finding them.

CONVERSION :
Title screen from the C64 version has been added in this GX4000 version. But most of all, colour brightness of the game has been corrected.

TRIVIAS :
  - Even if the game is particularly famous on C64 because of the unforgettable music from Rob Hubbard, considered as being one of the finest to feature in any game released for that machine, One Man And His Droid has been created on Spectrum 48K by Clive Brooker.
  - The CPC tune has been composed by Clive Brooker himself and used on the Atari 8-bit conversion too.
  - The name of the game is a play on the title of the BBC television show One Man and His Dog.
  - A follow-up, One Man and his Droid II, was written for the ZX Spectrum in 1991 but wasn't commercially published. It was eventually released on the internet in 2001 by Clive Brooker.
